The second form of Goddess Durga - Devi Chandraghanta

Chandraghanta is the third form of Goddess Mother Durga’s. This name resembles a bell which finds its explanation in the half moon seen on the temple of the Mother. Mother has ten arms. The ten hands of the Goddess Chandraghanta brandish ten different – different weapons. She sit on a lion, this form of the mother is devoted on the third day of the Navratri festival. It’s trusted that a devotee who wants to earn the mother’s blessings can set himself free from sins and hazards that he has done or may face in his future life. The devotee gains the divine sense and the supernatural power, to see it and even smell the eternal fragrance. He is also able to distinguish the otherwise inaudible celestial sounds.
